Cancel or change your membership
You do not owe anyone an explanation, and you do not have to wait for a reply to an email.
If you can sign in
Go to your account page and choose Manage billing and cancel. That opens Stripe, where you can cancel your membership, change the card on file, or read your past invoices.
If you cannot sign in
Email info@aidedeq.org from any address and tell us the email you used to join. A person will cancel it and write back to confirm. You do not need to get into your account first.
Open the Stripe billing page and enter the email address you used to join. Stripe emails you a code, you type it in, and you are looking at your own membership. There is no password and no Practice Village account needed.
What happens when you cancel
Your membership stops renewing and you keep access through the end of the period you already paid for. We do not prorate partial billing periods, and you are not charged again. Nothing you have saved is deleted by cancelling, so you can still sign in and download your Record until your access ends.
Removing your payment information
Stripe will not let you delete your last card while a membership is still running, so the order matters. Cancel first, then open the Stripe billing page again and remove the card under Payment methods.
If you want both to happen at once, sign in and use Close my membership on your account page. That cancels your membership right away, erases your Record, removes the cards on file, and ends your access. It cannot be undone, so download your Record first if you want to keep it.
Your full card number is never stored by us. Stripe handles payment details and we only ever see the last four digits. We do keep your past invoices, because a nonprofit has to keep its own financial records. An invoice holds the date, the amount, and your email address.
Leaving the free Charter List
The Charter List is email only and there is no payment attached to it. Use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email we send, or ask us at info@aidedeq.org.
If any of this does not work
Email info@aidedeq.org and say what happened. We would rather cancel it for you than have you fighting with a billing page.
